If you are thinking of switching from single use to reusable, or want to just try out Imse's products alongside your current pads/tampons, then this starter kit is ideal for you.
Comprising one each size - panty liner, regular and night pad, plus a washable tampon, all made from Imse's lovely, soft brushed 100% organic cotton certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 class 1 for baby products.
1 cotton panty liner - length 17cm x 7cm, 2 layers of absorbent organic cotton. Suitable for light days, backup for a menstrual cup or staying fresh throughout the month or mild incontinence.
1 organic cotton Regular/Day pad - 4 layers of absorbent organic cotton. Suitable for every day use, medium days, length 25cm x 8.5cm.
1 organic cotton Large/Night pad - 4 layers of absorbency, 1 layer protective PUL and a larger 33cm x 8.5cm size for heavier days and night time
1 regular cloth tampon - Garden print
Wash before first use - this will increase absorbency
Then fasten the wings of the pad around the crotch of your panties, there's a choice of popper position depending on width of the crotch. The side with the visible seams is the absorbent side and should be uppermost.
For the tampon, wash hands before handling. Roll up the tampon, starting from the side without the string attached, and secure the rolls by wrapping the string around it and knotting it. Pull the string to ensure it is secure and insert the tampon into your vagina, leaving the string hanging down. Change every 4-5 hours or sooner if required by pulling down on the string. Imse tampons come in mini, regular and heavy sizes - if your tampon feels dry on removal, you may wish to go down a size. Washable tampons can still cause Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) so we recommend to make sure to change it at least every six hours. For this reason, you may prefer to use cloth period pads or a menstrual cup for overnight use.

Washing Instructions:
Wash the tampons in a laundry bag to prevent the string particulrly from getting caught in the machine. It is perfectly possible to wash the tampons together with your regular laundry. You can wash them at up to 90°C. We recommend that you boil your cloth tampons before the first use.
It is also possible to wash the tampons by hand. eg when traveling. or you can also boil the tampons if you do not have a washing machine.
