The Hippychick Mattress / Bed Protector is ideal for protecting your bed. Made of really soft brushed cotton with a breathable polyurethane layer sandwiched in-between, you get the feeling of flannelette without the usual 'crinkling' & 'rustling' noises, that you get with  most waterproof mattress protectors.

The waterproof layer is breathable and does not get as hot as traditional PVC or rubber. The cotton layer is absorbent and doesn't get sweaty either. If you use it above the sheet, it's just like sleeping on a heavyweight sheet (and you absolutely can't smell the PUL layer at all). It's a brilliant invention.

Washing - Wash up to 60C, line or tumble dryable. In my experience, to avoid staining (even blood), wash immediately on a long cold wash, then wash on a normal 30/40C wash and they come up as clean as a whistle.
